It is a balcony built at the foot of Pedraforca from where you can enjoy impressive views over the Gresolet valley.
The project is to improve the existing lookout through an action that solves the current shortcomings such as the accessibility of the pavement and the stairs and the safety of the railings, and to bring new values added through new experiences that can be enjoyed by visitors of the viewpoint.
The proposal is to create two circular balconies that partially fly over the cliff.
The new platforms will be built using a framework of main and secondary beams embedded in the original slab, finished with a perimeter plate from which the welded railing emerges, formed by rectangular steel uprights.
The pavement is made of cor-ten steel plates, which is replaced by a metallic grating framework of the same material at the end of the platform, which coincides with the area that is blown away with respect to the existing viewpoint, so that the sensation in this area will be that of walking on the void.
The original staircase will be replaced by a new two-section concrete staircase adapted to current regulations, resting on the stone wall that forms the original staircase, which will be plastered.
